Do you need to have an SLI selector card plugged into your mother board if you are not going to use sli?

I bought a MSI P6N SLI-FI mobo open box to save money, but it doesnt come with extras (sli selector card, sli bridge, cables ect). I only have 15 days 2 return the mobo 4 my money back and if I cant get the selector card and if it is vital to running (even when not using SLI) then I will have to return it and buy it for full price or buy something else. Thats the SLI bridge that connects the cards together. The selector card goes on the motherboard and determins if you are in SLI mode or not, I need to no if I need that card if im not going to use SLI.
The mother board was DOA so this question doesnt matter any more. No more open box stuff for me.

Unless you are going to run two PCI Express cards you don't need the extras. You can buy them later if you decide to two cards in SLI mode.
