Brother HL 1850 Toner Cartridge With Blazing Fast Speeds
The Brother HL 1850 Cartridge has made it possible for home offices and small companies to own an affordable laser printer. This printer is not only an affordable printer but it also has enough speed and features to rival expensive printers out there. The expandability of this printer is enough to meet the needs of almost any small or growing office. However the printer could have had a larger printer capacity.
This new printer from Brother gives small business owners and office managers a reason to change their old printer for a faster new one. The workgroup features built into this printer is enough reason to change your old printer. The printer is easy to use and can be used out of the box without spending time on configuration.
The printer is accompanied with a well illustrated quick setup guide that makes installing the Brother HL 1850 printer toner a simple task. The printer can be connected to the computer either via its USB ports or the provided sans cable. On the front panel of the unit is a basic three color display which gives you clear read outs. It also has four buttons that allows for you to change the paper and perform other advanced operations.
The CD Rom that comes along with the printer has a detailed user guide in.PDF document. This guide makes it easy for you to set things up and perform regular maintains. The built-in Ethernet adapter can be used to make the printer a member of you local network. An extra set of 16MB memory can be added to increase the ram to 32 MB.
There are a few disappointments with the paper handling of this printer. One of the biggest is probably its paper capacity. The printer is only equipped to handle around 350 sheets of standard paper. It has one built-in 250 sheet tray and another 100 sheet tray. Although for two hundred dollars you can purchase another 250 sheet tray that will increase the over all capacity of the printer to 600 sheets. This is still not enough when you compare it to other printers which can hold a thousand plus sheets of paper.
The thing we like about this printer is its built in duplexer which is fast and furious. The duplexer works with almost no human intervention. The driver you install gives you an option to either flip the paper to its left or to the right or even to the bottom edge. The default settings allow for you to set your printer up for things such as paper type and size including print quality.
You also get a reset button on each tab with means if you don't like the changes you made you can reset it to its defaults. However there is a lack of a universal reset button which in my opinion should be there. This printer is pretty fast at 19pps.
The Brother HL 1850 Toner is also large enough to accommodate large printing jobs. The printer does an excellent job of reproducing text and crisp graphics which makes this printer a hit with small home offices and large companies alike.
