Greyhound New Hampshire Bus Bomb Scare In Portsmouth

A Greyhound driver on a New Hampshire bus parked, put on the flashers, and ran for the hills yesterday afternoon. For what reason? A Greyhound bus bomb scare was apparently on board. Police received a 911 call from a New Hampshire bus passenger saying there was an "explosive device" on board. That's certainly enough to make almost anyone consider applying for no fax loans to take the train instead. This Greyhound bus bomb scare occurred just days after the attempted bombing in New York City as well as the a major explosion at an Army facility.

The Greyhound New Hampshire bus scare

The New Hampshire bus bomb scare came after an unidentified passenger called 911. As opposed to a stated threat, police Captain Mike Schwartz said that the call was "based on someone's observation." For almost two hours after the 911 call, passengers remained on the New Hampshire bus. On at a time and with their hands over their head, the 17 passengers were eventually let go. The driver and one passenger are still being questioned.

ATF and FBI heads to the New Hampshire bus bomb scare scene

As soon as the New Hampshire bus bomb report was called in, state authorities responded. There were representatives of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on the scene, within just an hour. The FBI also sent officers to work with the state bomb disposal unit and local police officers that were on the scene. News helicopters were restricted from overhead flight, and nearby buildings were evacuated.

Police questioning one New Hampshire bus passenger

Only one person out of the 18 New Hampshire bus passengers is being held for questioning. It is unclear at this time whether it was an ongoing hostage situation, or if the remaining passenger is, in fact, a suspect in this case. They are only saying they are questioning the passenger at this time. The Greyhound bus in New Hampshire was on a route that would've taken it form Bangor, Maine to Boston and New York City.
