What is the best video card that will go on a PCI bus adapter?
I want a video card that will work for my new game (Neverwinter Nights 2). It requires at least 256MB card, but recommends a 512MB one, so I would like a 512 one that supports Shader Model 3.0.
Recommended: ATI X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card

None of the video cards mentioned have a PCI version. Only AGP or PCI-E.
The best performing PCI cards you are going to find are the GeForce 5x00 series. You are going to have a hard time finding these through retail channels these days though. You may have to look on Ebay. Also avoid the LE versions. The 5700 can out perform newer video cards when dealing with DX8 games, but with newer DX9 games it is not going to be all that great.
