My cpu doesn't run when there's a video card installed?
i have a cpu AMD, it has an AGP slot, every time i turn it on, it turns off, but when it is not installed it turns on. Im using a VGA video card. please help me...
I dont have an integrated video card, i only have one slot for an AGP, and i dont have an AGP video card but i have a VGA video card can i use it as an alternative for an AGP card?
Sounds like a Driver or Hardware issue:
Try booting without the vid card if you have the integrated vid card (Just take out the AGP one, and then see if there is another 'plug' for your monitor). Then see if windows picks anything up. Install the right drivers for EVERYTHING, and make sure in device manager that your hardware is up to speed. If you have Vista or 7, it will find your updates for you. Then find your driver download sheet for your specific PC on your manufactures website. Flash your BIOS with the most current BIOS. Directions are here:

Also you can try to switch to your AGP video card from the UPDATED BIOS. This will only work if you have an integrated video chip. I can't seem to find directions since it really is an easy process. All you have to do is boot into your BIOS, a quick google search:

But remember its different for each brand of PC, and some arn't the same...
and find a video option...
If that doesn't work (And you can boot to windows/OS) then its the video card thats faulty, and you can replace it.
If you don't have an integrated one then you might have to take it in. Flashing the BIOS from the BIOS is difficult, and if that doesn't work, then we might be out of luck...
