In short, the R4 DS card will let you watch Movies on your NDS, listen to Mp3 music on your NDS as well as play homebrew roms and applications on your NDS console... on your Nintendo DS console. It essentially flips your NDS or DSi from purely a game system to a whole Entertainment unit in your hands, all for less than $30.00 dollars.00
There are some quick and easy tips to follow. Some of the things I recommend may seem like no brainers, it did actually take me a week or so of using the R4 DS Card daily to figure out how to make my life a whole lot easier.
1. Copy your games and game files to a specific directory on the micro SD card. Make a folder called games, and ONLY store your games in this folder. It makes browsing to them in the menu much easier, and all your game save files will also be organized.
2. Try to orignize your MP3 files as well as Video files by creating a seperate directory for each one of them on the microSD memory card. This is something that is a must for anyone that has a lot of music where all of the songs are labeled TRACK 1, Track 2, etc..MP3 Music, Track 2.MP3, and more, etc..... By putting your files in seperate and different directories, you'll at least have them organized because you can put all of your MP3 albums in individual directories so you'll at least know that TRACK-1.mp3 in the ABBA directory is from the ABBA greatest hits album.
3. Make sure you try and make a copy of all of your game saves on your hard drive at least 1-2 times a week. Not because you could lose your save games, but you may want to try a level again to get a better score without having to start from the start again. Why should you backup and keep your current files in a folder on your PC? MicroSD cards are small, and as a result are also easily lost. You should always keep your games saves on your HDD as well as the card itself. While this one really seems like an obvious hint, you would be surprised to know that most of our technical support emails for the R4 DS deal with how to get back erased or deleted game saves that were not backed up. If you play games more often, you should definitely do this at least once per week or more often.
4. You don't want to take out the microSD Card from the R4 DS in the NDS each time you want to add files. Just push the microSD card and it will pop of out the slot in the r4 ds card. Use the included microSD card reader / writer to change your games, music and movie files or add more to your collection on your microSD card.
5. This is my final suggestion. And it deals with the microSD card in the card slot of the R4 DS. When you put the NDS, Nintendo DS lite or Nintendo DSi in your pocket or pick it up. Take a moment to check again as to whether or not the microSD card is in the R4DS card. Make sure that the microSD card is in the card slot of the R4DS and it's not loose or ready to pop out. It's very rare for the microSD card to pop outon its own... but that does not mean you should not be careful because it can happen. There would be nothing worse than losing your microSD card somewhere, because it popped out and fell on the ground. MicroSD Cards are small and tiny, and once lost, you would have a hard time finding it anywhere else except at a store, where you'd be buying a new one. If you carry your Nintendo DS in a case, then the chances are much smaller that the card will get dislodged from the R4 DS card slot, but it's better to check on a regular basis anyway. Don't turn your power on, until you have done this.
The r4 DS allows you to power up your NDS by allowing you to run homebrew game and applications as well as watch movies, read ebooks, and more. It also allows you to play MP3 music as well as watch movies on your Nintendo DS. What the R4 DS does is take your Nintendo DS from just being a game system to becoming a full entertainment center by allowing you to watch movies read ebooks, listen to mp3's and much more. 9500 gt video card compatible?
Ok i checked online for an 80 dollar 9500 gt video card. In the description it said Built for Windows Vista. I have Windows Xp. So does that mean I cant use a 9500 gt video card? And plus i have directx. 9.0c. It said on the description for the video card full directX 10. So is this video good with my computer?
It'd work for your computer just fine. But you should spend the extra oney and get a 9600GT if you can.
