In this article i wanna talk about streaming video servers. We all know that Streaming video is video that is constantly received by and presented to an end-user(visitor/client) while this is being delivered by a streaming provider. Now we are going to know about the streaming provider or next i use the "streaming video servers" word.
A streaming media or we call it streaming video server is an application which runs on an Internet server. This method is call "true streaming". Now let us know more about this "true streaming" that can be use for our video streaming prefer than simulate streaming.
We have list of the advantages of true streaming are: - True Streaming can handle much larger traffic. Its need by all streaming video site, like youtube. I believe that youtube have billion bandwidth every month too.
{- True Streaming can supply appropriate files automatically.}
- True Streaming can broadcast a live event like television do.
We need it too. In present we see that many website provide live streaming event, like football match or music live.
- True Streaming can detect the users' connection speeds
This is very useful because we must adjust our stream with a bandwidth of users we have.
In present, we have two ways to have access to a streaming server:
- Your can operate you own server
The step to run your own streaming server by yourself, you can buy a standalone server machine or buy a streaming server software package and install it on an existing web server. Then you will need streaming software, this is available for Linux, Windows, etc. You can search that software on internet, many website have it.
- The other way is rent for a hosted streaming plan, you can rent that with an ISP (Internet Service Provider) that trusted. Remember to compare the plan to the other ISP, choose the best quality on the best price. Don't choose the cheapest price but have bad quality (low bandwidth etc.)

i have some cameras that are physically connected to my linksys router at my building. i can only see these cameras at my building using my laptop and video server e. I cant to view them at home. Please help!!

you could try setting up an FTP server, putting all your pictures in it. Make it secure to no one can download them.
When you want to view the pictures, just access your FTP Server and you'll be able to view them. (do extra research on how to set an FTP server)
